Darko plays the drums and is the leader of the band. What the boys really like is beat music, but sometimes they sing old partisan songs - a capella. Darko's the one who digs up and arranges the songs. He likes them, even if others scoff. Finally, he even manages to organize a paid gig. The band go out to the country and at a commemoration ceremony cheerfully sing their songs to an audience of several hundred veterans. The applause is enthusiastic. They immediately get more bookings, and things look rather promising. But then Darko starts brooding.
